ZARIN TRUCK & AUTOMOTIVE BECOMES PRESENTING SPONSOR OF "$500 CLUB" PROGRAM AT 2019 SWEENEY RUSH LATE MODEL TOUR EVENTS

(Pulaski, PA)...The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series powered by Pace Performance is proud to announce that Zarin Truck & Automotive of South Heights, Pa. has come on board as the presenting sponsor of the new "500 Club" program at 2019 Tour events. 

 

Over the offseason, the "$500 Club" program was created and announced as a new and exciting program for 2019.  The "$500 Club" allows five drivers from the host speedway's top 15 in points the ability to win an additional $100 cash bonus at Sweeney Touring Series events!  The "500" Club will influx an additional $7,000 of available cash into the hands of RUSH "weekly" racers who participate in RUSH Touring events!    

 

Zarin Truck & Automotive is owned by former Late Model racer, Jim Zarin.  Jim's son Logan debuted in the RUSH Late Model division in 2018 as a 15-year-old at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway.  Logan finished second in track points with 10 top 10s including a career best third place finish and captured the prestigious "Western Pennsylvania Rookie-of-the-Year" honors.  Logan is chasing after the "Futures Cup" championship in 2019 along with competing on the Sweeney Tour. 

 

"I really appreciate what RUSH does for its racers," stated Jim Zarin.  "When I raced, we didn't have programs like RUSH has developed for its racers.  I'm proud to have my name associated with this Series."

 

"Jim recently contacted us about getting involved with RUSH," explained director Vicki Emig.  "It means so much to us when we have businesses approach us to become involved with RUSH.  This type of support allows us to continue to do more for our racers and continue to grow the Series.  The '500 Club' is a great program to have Zarin Truck & Automotive align with as it's designed to put extra money back into the hands of local racers, of which the Zarin Family have always been associated with."

 

The "500 Club"' serves three purposes; offer host tracks $500 of additional payout paid by the Series to their own weekly racers, reward drivers for supporting their home track's "Tour" events, and enhance and promote excitement for the track's own "weekly" fans and competitors.

 

The "500 Club" drawings will take place nightly at the drivers meeting.  All eligible drivers' pills will be separated with five random $100 drawings taking place.  At Tour events at tracks that do not run the RUSH Late Models weekly, the two nearest RUSH weekly-sanctioned track points will be utilized.  Note: The "500 Club" program will not be included at "Manufacturers Night" and the two Quebec events due to the Sunoco gift card giveaways on this night.

 

The "500 Club" debuted during the "Battle of the Bay" Speedweek presented by Wehrs Machine.  PJ1 Motorsports was the nightly sponsor at both Delaware International and Georgetown Speedways where Trevor Collins and Derek Magee each won $200, while Matt Hill, Brandon Sturgis, Joe Pete, Derek Magee, Sparky White, Joe Warren, and Mike Wharton pocketed $100.  ARC Racing & Round Hill Auto Service was the nightly sponsor at Winchester where Levi Crowl, Logan Roberson, Trevor Feathers, Jakob Piper, and Timmy Booth received an extra $100.  Up next will be the Zarin Truck & Automotive "$500 Club" events at Stateline and Eriez Speedway on May 18-19.

 

"Even though we're coming off our best year of Touring car counts we're always thinking and trying to create new programs to help our racers," acknowledged RUSH Director Vicki Emig.  "The heart of RUSH is our 'weekly' sanctioned tracks- without them we have no Touring Series.  I think this is a great way to continue to reward our weekly racers in conjunction with our already valuable National Weekly, Summer Chase, Track Pack, and Futures Cup programs. Couple those with our new '500 Club', awesome Manufacturers Nights and other additional bonus programs and I think it will continue to accomplish our goal of making sure all levels of RUSH racers have something to be part of when the compete at a RUSH-sanctioned event!"
