June 14, 2013             FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)…After several months of negotiations, the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series has reached an agreement with Sunoco Race Fuels.  The company will join an ever growing list of nationally-recognized and respected companies that have chosen to partner with the RUSH Series in its efforts to grow and develop Crate Late Model racing throughout the Northeast.

Sunoco’s support of the Series will be multi-faceted and broken into three very exciting and important parts!  First, several hundreds of dollars of contingency certificates redeemable for Sunoco’s 260 GT Race Fuel at several RUSH/Sunoco authorized distributors will be available to RUSH racers through a buy-pay-back program.  The authorized distributor list will be released soon and posted on the RUSH website.

Effective July 1, the first 50 RUSH drivers competing at RUSH-sanctioned speedways that purchase 10 gallons of Sunoco 260 GT fuel and show proof of purchase to RUSH Series Directors, will receive a certificate valid toward the purchase of an additional five gallons of this product.  Through this program, over $2,000 in Sunoco 260 GT fuel will be distributed to the racers!  Drivers can contact the RUSH office for details as to how they will receive their certificates for their free fuel.

Also effective July 1, RUSH, in conjunction with Sunoco Race Fuels, will award the first racer that wins a Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Touring Series feature event utilizing Sunoco GR 260 a $500 bonus!

Sunoco Race Fuels will also sponsor the purchase of an electronic fuel hydrometer.  This state-of-the-art tool is utilized to check the oxygen content that is in the fuel.  Sunoco has also offered their expertise and full support to both RUSH Competition Director Travis Harry and RUSH weekly-sanctioned speedway tech officials in any and all fuel technical issues that may occur.

Lastly, Sunoco Race Fuels will be the presenting sponsor of the “Northern States Classic” Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series National Championship event, which will be held October 18-19 at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pa.  Full details on this event will be released soon.

“I cannot tell you how pleased we are to have Sunoco Race Fuels become a major sponsor of RUSH,” stated Series Co-Director Vicki Emig.  “I have had a great relationship with Sunoco representative Russ Bradford for over 15 years and believe that together with our regional promoters, we can begin to address the problem of the extreme cost of fuel that some of our racers are currently utilizing.”

“Although we are not implementing a fuel rule, I believe we are taking a substantial step in the right direction by partnering with Sunoco and endorsing their Sunoco 260 GT product,” continued Emig.  “The selection of several RUSH/Sunoco authorized distributors for the Sunoco 260 GT product will allow us to control and maintain consistent and reasonable pricing of this product to the racers in our region.”

“Bazell Race Fuels and Sunoco along with the RUSH Dirt Late Model Series look forward to informing all the Crate Late Model racers throughout the region that there are options out there for their racing fuel,” stated Russ Bradford, Division Manager of Bazell Race Fuels.  “The fuels that we offer perform as well or better than the other high-priced fuels put on the market by other companies.”

Bradford went on to say, “Vicki and I have done business together for several years, and we feel very confident that Vicki along with Mike Leone will make RUSH successful.  With this said we feel that this is where we need to invest our resources to not only help the Series, but also help the racers.  Sunoco Race Fuels has a long history of producing the most competitive and consistent fuels in the industry as well as supporting many sanctioning bodies across all types of motorsports.”

Sunoco Race Fuels also offers several other reasonably-priced race fuel products that offer great performance for Crate Late Model racers.  For information on the Sunoco 260 GT and their other reasonably-priced race fuel products such as 110 Standard, 112 Supreme and their pump gas comparable product 260 GR 100 that all also off great performance for Crate Late Model racers, contact Russ Bradford at Bazell Fuel Company in Logan, Ohio at 740-385-5430.
