March 23, 2015                   FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)...The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Racing Series held its annual speedway tech seminar on Saturday, March 21 at Gatherings Banquet & Event Center for weekly-sanctioned speedway promoters that sanction its three divisions, the Sweeney RUSH Late Models, Sweeney RUSH Sportsman Modifieds, and Sweeney RUSH Pro Stocks.

Several of the new RUSH weekly-sanctioned speedway promoters and their tech officials were in attendance such as Brighton, Freedom, Stateline, and Wayne County Speedways.  The meeting was conducted by RUSH Series Directors, RUSH Competition Director Travis Harry along with Authorized Engine Rebuilders Brad Hibbard and Mike Ingram.  Each speedway was provided with their annual tech binder that included the rules, a  suggested weekly tech hand guide, chain of custody forms and tools for taking tire samples and detailed instructions to properly handle an engine protest and/or impound an engine for additional inspection or teardown.

“Our annual technical seminar, that we host for our weekly sanctioned speedway tech officials, is a very  important piece and a great example of the service we feel we must provide to our speedways and their racers," stated Series Co-Director Vicki Emig.  "It is equally as important to the RUSH program as our mandated  Authorized Engine Rebuilders Seminar.  Everyone who has a stake in crate racing, from us as Series directors, our speedway promoters and their tech officials, authorized rebuild and repair facilities, and of course the racers, all realizes it's a team effort to preserve the integrity of the GM sealed engine program and I cannot tell you how exciting it is to see all parties working together to ensure the future of this concept."

The 2015 Sweeney Weekly Series for the RUSH Late Models gets underway this Saturday, March 28 at Virginia’s Winchester Speedway.  The first Sweeney Late Model Tour event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at Pa’s Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex.  The first Sweeney RUSH Sportsman Modified show is on Saturday, April 25 at Ohio’s Sharon Speedway.
