COMPETITOR DISQUALIFIED FROM RUSH LATE MODEL WEEKLY SERIES RUNNER-UP FINISH AT GENESEE

(Pulaski, PA)…Following the results by an independent lab of tire samples taken after the Genesee Speedway RUSH Late Model Weekly Series event on Saturday, May 21, it was determined that apparent runner-up finisher Doug Ricotta’s tire did not meet the factory benchmark.

With the disqualification, the remainder of the finishing order from third on back will be adjusted upward with those drivers receiving the difference in pay and points by Genesee Speedway.

Ricotta will forfeit his $425 winnings, and has been imposed a $500 fine and suspended from all RUSH Racing Series competition for 30 days as his first offense.  Ricotta has the ability to appeal the findings within 48 hours of notification.
