(Erie, PA)…After a
successful "Jook George Steel City Classic" this past Saturday night at
Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway, the Pace Performance RUSH Dirt Late Model Series
together with Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC will get right back at it this Sunday
night (August 15) with a Flynn's Tire/Born2Run Lubricants Touring Series event
at Eriez Speedway. It's
"Manufacturers Night" presented by MSD Performance with over $27,000 in valuable
product giveaways for the second and final Tour stop at the Erie, Pa. facility.
Warmups are at 6:15 p.m.
Sunday will mark the 10th edition of "Manufacturers Night", which will take place at Eriez for the second time in conjunction with the $2,000 to-win Marquee Tour event. MSD Performance proudly presents all of the RUSH Series "Manufacturers Nights" and contributes product as well. Each participating racer on Sunday is guaranteed to walk away with an item valued at the very minimum of $400. The drawings will take place immediately following the drivers meeting at approximately 5:30 p.m. Drivers need to be registered by 5:30 in order to participate in the drawings.
TBM Brakes, the "Official Brakes" of RUSH, annually provides the top prize and this year is no different with one lucky racers taking home four F3 Tornado Brake Calipers and three bottles of brake fluid valued at $1,845. Lincoln Electric has been contributing a power MIG 140C multi-purpose welder and utility cart ($1,175( for many of the Series' Manufacturers Nights since the inception. Brad Smith of Velocita-USA gives away several drivers suits a year with RUSH, and one driver on Sunday will win a custom suit valued at $1,100.
The complete list of packages are posted below. It's possible that drivers can win multiple prizes if any prizes are left over. In the event of more than 44 cars, additional packages will be added so that every competing driver will receive a manufacturers package. Also, one lucky driver will win a $550 certificate from Absolute Powder Coating towards the powder coating of a new chassis in round two drawings; this will be in addition to his or her manufacturers package.
"We have to thank Eriez Speedway for hosting Manufacturers Night as well as having a second Tour event in 2021," expressed RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "It's been six years since we've had Manufacturers Night at Eriez. We always try and schedule the event on a day and location that's accessible to the majority of racers. Thank you to Bradford Speedway promoter Dennis Cummings for dropping the RUSH Late Models on Sunday to allow his racers the opportunity to take part. It's tremendous what these companies have once again posted even coming off a 2020 season that was decimated by COVID-19. We'll also have the 'traveling' Manufacturers Night at Genesee Speedway on September 25 for eligible New York racers."
Past locations of "MFG Nights" with car counts in parentheses are Sharon Speedway in 2012 (57), Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway in 2013 (40), McKean County Raceway in 2014 (43), Eriez in 2015 (47), Tri-City Raceway Park 2016-2018 (58, 48, 45), Pittsburgh in 2019 (36), while last year's drawings was contested through the Weekly Series points due to COVID-19.
Virginia racer Kyle Hardy leads the way with five
Tour wins including a sweep of the "Battle of the Bay" Speedweek plus a victory
in his first Eriez start back on May 16 and the first ever Tour race at Dog
Hollow . Hardy sits atop the
standings of both the $12,000 to-win Tour by 61 over defending three-time
champion Jeremy Wonderling, who has won both Tour races in New York plus his
first ever Pittsburgh victory this year.
Wonderling meanwhile leads the $5,000 to-win National Weekly Series
standings by one over Hardy as he looks to win that title for the second
straight year.
Joe Martin trails Wonderling by just six points as
he's strung together seven top five Tour finishes in the last eight shows.
Michael Duritsky, Jr. has finished in the top five in points each of the
last years and is currently fourth heading into Sunday.
After matching his season best third place finish on Saturday, Kyle Lukon
jumped from seventh in points to fifth.
J.J. Mazur is sixth. Bud
Watson and Ryan Frazee are tied for seventh.
John Waters and Logan Zarin complete the top 10 in points.
Two upcoming Platinum Tour events on Friday,
September 24 at Genesee Speedway and Friday, October 1 at Pittsburgh's PA Motor
Speedway will allow Tour members the opportunity to replace missed Marquee
events and/or replace their worst Marquee event finish(es).
There have been eight RUSH Tour
events completed all-time at Eriez.
Max Blair has won all seven races he's entered, while his father Rob picked up a
victory in a substitution role for Max in 2016.
The only other Tour winner at Eriez was Hardy this year; however, neither
Blair was in competition.
Eriez has had a very competitive season of RUSH Late
Model racing in 2021 with eight different winners in 10 races!
Super Late Model racers Mike Knight and Chub Frank are the only two
drivers that have repeated, while single wins have went to Hardy, Martin,
Wonderling, Max Blair, Jason Genco, and most recently Breyton Santee.

“Tough Brake of the Night” will award three bottles of Xtreme6 Racing Brake Fluid valued at approximately $45
along with a certificate for a discount off any TBM Brakes purchase.
The feature winner will receive a 5-Gallon Race Jug from Precise. Ontime
Body & Graphic's "Spoiler Alert" will award a $150 spoiler kit to the 11th place
finisher (note: if a driver has already won a spoiler this season, spoiler will
be awarded to the next position).
The Sunoco Dash winner will also receive a $100 Sunoco gift card, and one driver
will be randomly selected at the drivers meeting for a $100 Sunoco gift card
thanks to the "Fill'er up with Sunoco Bucks" program presented by Sunoco and
Zarin Truck & Auto. Performance Bodies will award a $100 gift card to the
first non-qualifier as part of the "Nosed Out" program.

Registration and pre-race tech will begin by 3:30 p.m. with the drivers
meeting/manufacturers drawings scheduled for 5:30 p.m., warm-ups at 6:15
followed by qualifying and then racing. You do not have to be a member of
RUSH to compete only to receive Weekly and/or Tour points. The entry fee
for the event is $100. AMB/MyLaps transponders will be used; rentals are
available. Driver radio will be channel 454.000.
