December 28, 2014                FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Orrville, OH)… On December 7, NAPA Wayne County Speedway Promoters Jason and Kristin Flory held a meeting for interested Crate Late Model drivers.  At the conclusion of the well-attended meeting, the overwhelming consensus was for W.C.S. to sanction their debut of Crate Late Models on a weekly basis in 2015 under the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series banner.  A general RUSH informational meeting has now been scheduled on Sunday, January 11 at 1 p.m. at the Creston (OH) Community Center.

"Even though we described much of our RUSH program at the initial meeting, the Florys and many of the racers felt it was important to hold another meeting now that everyone is aware of the direction Wayne County has decided to go with their Crate Late Models," explained RUSH Series Director Vicki Emig.  "We're going to bring our Competition Director Travis Harry along with Mike Ingram- one of our longtime Authorized Engine Rebuilders to further explain the teching and rebuilding process, and of course we’ll explain in detail all of the great championship programs that are now available to them as member drivers."

"There were also several racers that were unable to attend the last meeting and we realize a lot of the information and discussions can be overwhelming to people when they first learn about crate racing, our programs and teching procedures in one setting," continued Emig.  "The new crate racers from this part of the region have many of the same concerns that our current racers had in the past.  We know that crate racing is different from what most are accustomed to in the Wayne County area.  It  is our job to help  inform them to the best of our ability how we can ensure that by competing under the RUSH sanction they will have the opportunity to race on a fair and level playing field."

Since the last meeting, the Sweeney RUSH Series also finalized the $13,000 cash plus contingencies optional Bilstein "sealed" spec shock program that will award $5,000 to the program's top racer in the Sweeney Weekly Series points.  That means if the 2015 Sweeney Weekly Series Champion commits to the program, he'll take home $10,000 instead of $5,000.  The shock was on display at the last meeting and drew interest from some of the attendees.

There will also be a representative from Hoosier Tire on hand with the mandated Crate Racin' USA D21 and D55 tires.

The Creston Community Center is located on Route 3 between Wooster and Medina, Ohio at 117 S. Main St. Creston 44217.
