(Pulaski, PA)…Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series directors Vicki Emig and Mike Leone are thrilled to announce TurboStart will return as a Major Contingency Sponsor for the upcoming 2014 Touring season.  The New Castle, Pennsylvania-based company continues to be part of the impressive list of national companies that have partnered with the Series.

TurboStart will award ten 16-volt racing batteries at selected Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Touring Series events in 2014 as their contribution in product to RUSH will exceed $2,500!   

The batteries will be awarded randomly at the following events: “Mid-Atlantic States Classic” Potomac and Winchester Speedways (June 20-21), “Bill Emig Memorial” Sharon and Lernerville Speedways (July 4-5), Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway (July 12), “Canadian National Late Model Championship” Humberstone Speedway (July 20), “Manufacturers Night” McKean County Raceway (August 30), and Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex (October 4-5).

One battery, which retails at $252 each, will be awarded at each of the above weekends with the exception of the “Manufacturers Night” where five will be awarded!  The “Manufacturers Night” will see over $30,000 in product be distributed in addition to the $1,500 to-win Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Touring event.

These 16-V batteries are the new low profile design and are only 6" high featuring limited space mounting.  These batteries put out 550 cranking amps at 32° F.  The reserve capacity is 50 minutes at 25 amps.  The sealed battery utilizes the latest state of the art AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) separator technology.  At only 32 pounds, TurboStart's lightweight 16-volt battery is among the lightest AGM types in the industry.  Because they can't leak, even if the container is damaged, they're able to ship their TurboStart AGM Series types fully charged so the battery is ready to go when you get it!
