July 6, 2016            FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)…With the month of July in full swing, the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series' Pace Performance $10,050 "Summer Chase" program is now underway.  In conjunction with the Pace Performance Midseason "Performance Bucks" program, the Series is pleased to announce the racer recipients of the $100 Sweeney/Pace gift cards for the Late Model, Sportsman Modified, Pro Mod, and Pro Stock divisions.  A total of $4,900 in Sweeney/Pace gift cars will be distributed at this point of the season as 40 different drivers will receive a minimum of one $100 gift card with several drivers receiving multiple cards.  An additional $1,100 in Sweeney/Pace gift cards will be awarded throughout the second half of the season in various other promotions.

The Midseason "Performance Bucks" program awarded a $100 Sweeney/Pace gift card to RUSH Late Model member drivers in third, fifth, and seventh place in points as of June 30 at each weekly-sanctioned speedway, at Sharon Speedway for the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds, at Stateline Speedway for the RUSH Pro Mods, and in the Sweeney Weekly Series points for the RUSH Pro Stocks.  (Note: the RUSH weekly point system was utilized.)

RUSH Pro Stock graduate, Mike Franklin, who is the RUSH Late Model "Bilstein Bandits" point leader, was the big winner as he'll receive $300 in Sweeney/Pace gift cards through weekly points at Path Valley, Potomac, and Winchester Speedways.  Dave Lyon, Damian Bidwell, Rob Pietz, Brian Knowles, Steve Lowery, and Scott Gurdak earned $200 in Sweeney/Pace gift cards.  The complete recipient list is posted below.

Additional gift cards will be given away during the upcoming Late Model and Pro Mod "Manufacturers Nights" presented by MSD Performance as well as through the RUSH Late Model Tour loyalty program, and the year end "Track Pack Bonus Program".  Tiffany Williams, who received a $100 Pace gift for being seventh in Sportsman Mod member points at Sharon, also received a $100 gift card on June 25 at “Manufacturers Night” at Sharon.

"We wanted to create a program that would reward a large number of RUSH racers throughout the entire region," stated Matt Fullerton of Sweeney/Pace.  "With the help of Vicki (Emig) and Mike (Leone) from RUSH this program was formed that will give back even more to weekly racers throughout the region, and at the same time expand our Sweeney/Pace name and product awareness to a larger audience."

Meanwhile, the Pace "Summer Chase" kicked off on July 1 and will continue through Labor Day.  Drivers that finished in the top 10 of member points at RUSH Late Model weekly-sanctioned tracks and the Sweeney Tour were eligible for the program.  The top 10 point averages after Labor Day will share in the $10,050 point fund with $3,000 to the champion and $500 for 10th.  Bryce Davis, the current Sweeney Tour point leader, is the defending champion.  All RUSH-sanctioned events during this time frame count, and drivers must compete in a minimum of six events to be eligible for the point fund.
