(Pulaski, PA)…With the "$50,000 End of Summer Blowout" presented by Sunoco Race Fuels nearing on Saturday and Sunday, August 30-31 at McKean County Raceway and Wayne County Speedway for the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series, Directors Vicki Emig and Mike Leone are proud to welcome on Alternative Power Sources as a major Series sponsor. Part of the weekend is "Manufacturers Night" at MCR, and Alternative Power Sources has posted the richest prize in the three-year history of the event!
With over $30,000 in prizes expected to be given away on "Manufacturers Night", Alternative Power Sources will have the top prize valued at over $2,100! The lucky driver at McKean will win the EF40000DE/D Yamaha Electric Start Generator and wheel kit, the "all-star utility infielder" of the Yamaha generator team! The prize winner will also have the ability to upgrade to an even bigger generator.
In addition, Alternative Power Sources is providing the
RUSH Series with a Yamaha EF2000 Inverter RealTree Camo Generator for use in
race night operations! This generator is valued at $1,249.

He was a great supporter when I owned Mercer Raceway Park and has been a great asset to the racing community years sponsoring several race teams, most notably Sprint Car star Jamie Smith for many years and defending RUSH "Touring" Series champion Mike Pegher. Today, his two boys compete in the Stock division at Lernerville Speedway both running GM 604 engines with Aaron currently sixth in points. It's a tremendous gesture on Sylvan's part to post this awesome prize for one of our racers to win and the Yamaha inverter will certainly make our race night operations easier."
This year's "Manufacturers Night" will be a $1,500 to-win event held at McKean County Raceway in East Smethport, Pa. for the first time. The inaugural event in 2012 was held at Sharon Speedway and attracted 47 racers. Last year, the night was moved to Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway where 40 racers were on hand.
"We like to move this event around," said Leone. "It gives different racers in addition to our Sweeney Tour regulars the ability to win these great prizes, and it's an awesome event for the speedway to be able to host. Added in with the first ever show at Ohio's Wayne County Speedway the following night and it's going to be a great weekend for our RUSH racers! In addition to the $50,000 in cash and prizes, it'll also concludes the $10,000 plus Pace Performance Summer Chase program!"
