December 28, 2015               FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Ransomville, NY)...For the first time in its near 60-year storied history, Ransomville Speedway will host a Crate Late Model event at the 3/8-mile oval located in western New York.  The Friday, July 15 race will not only be sanctioned by the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series powered by Pace Performance, but will be a $2,000 to-win "Marquee" Touring Series event!

Long known for its open wheel Northeast-style Modified racing under the Friesen Family for the past 42 years, the Ransomville, New York facility was recently sold to the Atwal Family, who will continue ownership of the popular Friday night facility in 2016.  With the growing number of RUSH Crate Late Model events in western New York and Ontario, Ransomville becomes the latest track to schedule a RUSH event.

The July 15 date will be an open event for racers as RUSH weekly-sanctioned Friday night track, Freedom Motorsports Park, will give the RUSH Late Models the night off to compete at Ransomville- a track 70 miles to the north.  RUSH will now appear on a weekly basis for the first time at Genesee Speedway on Saturday nights in Batavia, New York, which is 45 miles to the southeast of Ransomville.  Then of course Humberstone Speedway features the RUSH Late Models on a weekly basis on Sunday nights in Port Colborne, Ontario, which is 40 miles to the southwest.  RUSH will also return to Merrittville Speedway in Thorold, Ontario for a $2,000 Touring Series race on Monday, May 23.

"We were thrilled when Ransomville contacted us about hosting a Touring Series event," acknowledged RUSH Co-Director Vicki Emig.  "Ransomville is definitely one of those tracks that everyone has heard of and is very well-known throughout the Northeast.  I know a lot of our racers were excited when the news broke of an event at Ransomville.  It's great to continue to be able to add more and more well-known speedways to our RUSH participating track list.  The total number of tracks that will be hosting either a weekly or touring event throughout the Northeast in 2016 is fast approaching 30 and we can't thank these promoters enough for giving our racers, regardless of what part of the region they are from, the ability to earn valuable championship points at their facilities."

"We are very excited to host the RUSH Late Model Series," commented General Manager Tana Robinson.  "We are always looking to add something new and exciting to our schedule - the RUSH Late Models Series will allow us to do just that.   Early interactions with the folks at RUSH along with positive feedback from some of the Late Model drivers and our fans has been a plus.  We look forward to working with everyone at RUSH in 2016 and hopefully beyond."

The Ransomville event will be one of the 12 RUSH "Marquee" Touring Series events paying a minimum of $2,000 to-win part of the Bobby Lake Motorsports "Shock the Clock & Beat the Heat" program.  The complete Touring Series schedule that also includes six "Platinum" events paying a minimum of $1,500 to-win will be released later this winter.

In addition to being part of the Touring Series program, the Ransomville event will also allow member racers to accumulate Sweeney Weekly Series and Pace Performance "Summer Chase" points in addition to those racers eligible for the "Bilstein Bandits and "Futures Cup" programs.
